The Longest Bench
This bench is situated on Little Hampton beach. It is part of the ‘cultural and creative regeneration programme’, sponsored by Gordon Roddick as a tribute to his wife, Anita Roddick (founder of the Body Shop which is based in the town).
We were asked to provide thousands of hardwood bars, which we sourced from sea groynes, some coming from Littlehampton East Pier itself!
Littlehampton East Beach Café
This RIBA award winning structure in Littlehampton has brought new life to the area. Its unique look, delicious food and glorious view make it a ‘must visit’ location. We had the pleasure of providing the timber for the seating area. These large sections of Jarrah were structural timbers sourced from James Latham’s Clapton Sawmill, from when it was dismantled quite a few years ago.
Edible Organic Landscapes
We have had the pleasure of working with Sarah Kent on numerous Community based projects. She provides an excellent example of how versatile our planters are. By using the ‘Woodlock’, she’s been able to transform a hardstanding area into an attractive, functional space, providing fresh produce for the local community.
