It was a pleasure to collaborate on Alex Pettitt’s silver medal winning ‘Slow Down, Breathe Deep’ garden at RHS Tatton 2022. After visiting our timber yard he selected the decking for his garden, envisaged as a space for staff of an NHS community hospital to find sanctuary from the pressures of daily work. Alex chose a selection of beautiful mixed tropical timber decking, reclaimed by Project275 from a residential building in Stratford as part of the ongoing cladding remedial works there, for his project. He asked us to plane the underside to reveal the richness of this timber in all its glory. The “Slow Down, Breathe Deep” garden also featured our cantilever, mixed species bench. This piece features a Greenheart bottom, Ekki top and Opepe, Jarrah and Balau uprights.
